I just realized. For a lot of people, this is probably going to be the first Snapcast that they see in their feed.
Kevin:
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right, because we didn't start until what February, march, April, maybe even.
Jordan:
I think yeah, I think it was March or April. I don't think we've been doing this that long.
Kevin:
Yeah.
Jordan:
So a lot of people probably haven't even seen a Snapcast before.
Kevin:
So Well, I was just going to say one of the theories. We didn't talk about it on last week's episode, but one of the theories that Albin floated at one point was do you think snapcasts are hurting us? Yeah, like, are people unsubscribing to our show because our numbers were going down. We didn't know why, right, yeah, and so he was like are people unsubscribing because the snapcasts are driving them crazy? And I was like, well, it's again.
Jordan:
I have to entertain all possibilities, but that seemed crazy I mean he had me convinced at one point because I was like I mean it does kind of like line up, but it lined up with other things too. So I was just like I don't understand, I don't know.
Kevin:
You know what I thought would be fun to do for this Snapcast. Buzz Sprout's analytics are on OP3, which is open, and we can yeah, that's what OP3 stands for Open podcast prefix so we could share the link in the show notes for this episode, and so we can. Everyone can see that buzzcast is officially back because they have this cool chart which they call episode pacing, and if you look at it, the episode that says how we fixed a major drop in downloads, that was our last episode. It is outpacing, like every other episode we've done, I don't know, recently by a lot by a lot.
Jordan:
Yeah, I saw that.
Kevin:
And so yeah, this is great news, Our content is not terrible.
Jordan:
It wasn't us.
Kevin:
The people who listen to the show are not leaving in droves. There was a problem. Apple helped us fix it and things are back looking good.
Jordan:
Yeah.
Kevin:
One other thing I thought I would share with you. I know that you know we don't talk about stuff that's not out yet, but this is out. It's just not out for everybody yet, but for those podcasters on Buzzsprout that use Spotify and have their podcast listed in Spotify and you create chapters for your podcast, those chapters are starting to appear.
Jordan:
In Spotify.
Kevin:
In Spotify now.
Jordan:
Oh boy.
Kevin:
Yeah.
Jordan:

Yeah, so I think we need to go into this in a little bit more depth. Yeah, next week give the whole story. But if you use chapters in your podcast and it's listed on Spotify, go ahead and check it out and see if they're starting to populate. But we made some changes on the Buzzsprout side, so that will be rolling out All right.
